Forwarder Network accepts only top flight operators – SHIPPING GAZETTE

The Conqueror Freight Network has set up the ‘Globalia Logistics Network”, which will be open exclusively to “first class” freight forwarders in each air and seaport location. Applicants for Globalia will undergo a rigorous selection process including external auditing. The one in 10 applicants accepted will enjoy six months’ membership for free, reports London’s Air Cargo News.

Globalia founder Antonio Torres explained the importance of networks for independent forwarders: “With the multinationals taking more and more of their business daily, independent forwarders find themselves in a cooperate or die situation which rogue network operators are exploiting.

“In the last decade, the majority of the emerging networks have only been interested in one thing; collecting a membership fee. None offer the rigorous selection process we do, none offer the financial security we do and none offer the daily support and amount of quality complimentary marketing tools we do.

“Some might say that what we are launching is not new, and they would be right. We are offering the same opportunities as Conqueror but for a new group of first class companies, allowing them to work with the same calibre of agents as themselves worldwide.”

Globalia Logistics Network inundated with membership applications – ACW

Globalia Logistics Network has been inundated with applications for membership with just one in 10 making the grade, two months since its launch.

The freight forwarding network was founded by Antonio Torres, six years after launching Conqueror Freight Network, which had reached capacity, so he launched Globalia, to be a clone of Conqueror.

Torres says Globalia has been receiving dozens of applications and only one in 10 have made it through to the second stage, the auditing by Dun & Bradstreet.

He says: “Some might say that 1/10 isn’t very many to be passing the application process and they would be right, it isn’t. However, what it does mean is that our network has only the most financially stable and secure companies as members. The financial risks of working with our members is almost non-existent.”

Membership development manager, Francisco Perez adds: “Those who successfully pass the membership process will enjoy six months’ free membership. When that time is up, agents should know whether or not the network is working for them. It can’t be more transparent than that.”

The association is accepting applications for membership from ocean and airfreight forwarders. It plans to accept one agent from seaports and airports in 26 U.S. states.

“With the multinationals taking more and more of their business daily, independent forwarders find themselves in a cooperate or die situation which rogue network operators are exploiting,” founder Antonio Torres said. “In the last decade, the majority of the emerging networks have only been interested in one thing; collecting a membership fee. None offer the rigorous selection process we do.”

Globalia investigates the forwarders’ employees, facilities, vehicles, services, business volume, insurance policies and its accreditations, the company said.

“[Applicants] provide financial data for the previous two years and this is forwarded on to Dun & Bradstreet, an extremely reputable third-party auditor. They will review the companies’ financial history and its current status, looking for any anomalies as well as any countrywide issues,” said spokeswoman Anna Barton, who added that nine out of 10 applicants are rejected.

Aside from the United States, the freight network plans to have members in more than 100 countries across North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Asia and the Oceania region in the Pacific Ocean.

Industry’s Newest Freight Group opens for applications- ARABIANSUPPLYCHAIN.COM

Applications have begun being accepted for membership of the industry’s newest freight group, Globalia Freight Network, which has the Middle East as one of its key air/sea freight hubs worldwide.

The Globalia Logistics Network will be accepting applications from agents in the Middle East and the rest of the world, it said in a release.

Globalia is born out of the Conqueror Freight Network founded by Antonio Torres 7 years ago. “Conqueror is the only network to offer exclusivity per city, audit all applicants and only accept those given the green light by an external auditor,” explained Torres.

“Because of the unique nature of Conqueror, the amount of interest in membership is still unprecedented and in truth, there is simply not enough room to accommodate every qualifying company, so, I felt it was right to give more agents the opportunity to enjoy the same benefits through a new network,” he added.

“Some might say that what we are launching is not new, and they would be right. We are offering the same opportunities as Conqueror but for a new group of first class companies, allowing them to work with the same calibre of agents as themselves worldwide,” said Torres.

“With the multinationals taking more and more of their business daily, independent forwarders find themselves in a cooperate or die situation which rogue network operators are exploiting,” he added. “In the last decade, the majority of the emerging networks have only been interested in one thing; collecting a membership fee. None offer the rigorous selection process we do, none offer the financial security we do and none offer the daily support and amount of quality complimentary marketing tools we do.”

Applicants for Globalia Freight Network will undergo a tough selection process including external auditing and those 1/10 applicants accepted will enjoy the first six months free. “This will be a trial -period for both parties,” explains Torres, “thus ensuring that every member is bringing business to the network and adding value to the brand.”
