Africa Logistics’ extensive experience in the Mozambican business coupled with its strong network of partners and expertise in the maritime industry has a huge potential to strengthen its position in the extremely fast-growing Oil & Gas Services industry in Mozambique. In 2011, off the coast of Mozambique, one of the largest gas fields in the world was discovered, with up to 15 trillion cubic feet of natural gas in place. A gigantic boiler from Rotterdam to Singapore

Globalia Rotterdam establishes its’ position as one of the top freight forwarders in Rotterdam by successfully shipping a massive boiler all the way to Singapore

East Total Logistics BV, a company known for offering reliable and innovative logistics services and solutions by air, road and sea, has recently carried out the task of transporting a boiler of 23400 kilos. The boiler was carried from door to port via truck.

 

In the words of Tom van Roon of East Total Logistics BV, ‘’Transporting this enormous boiler from door to port hasn’t been an easy task by all means. In spite of the difficulty of our project, everything worked out rather smoothly and we are more than happy with the results.’’

Tesla will redefine the future of trucking with their new electric semi-truck

The production of this long awaited transport would start 2019 onwards

The Tesla Semi with its battery technology will give you superior acceleration, enhanced performance on steep terrains, an 805 Km range with maximum weight at highway speed and loads of other fascinating features. Elon Musk the CEO and founder of Tesla has stated at the unveiling event in Los Angeles that these trucks when driven in convoy is going to cost less than transporting goods by railways.

The semi-truck is packed with loads of safety features including lane tracking ability, auto braking and a windshield which is apparently ‘nuclear explosion proof’! Chucking a huge diesel powered engine has enabled them to push forward the driver’s seat allowing a much spacious cab for the truck drivers. As advertised by Tesla- “Semi is the safest, most comfortable truck ever. Four independent motors provide maximum power and acceleration and require the lowest energy cost per mile.”

Musk went on in greater details about the safety measures of the new Semi- ““Even if you’re in the truck and you have a medical emergency, the truck will stay in lane and gradually come to a halt and put on the emergencies. If it doesn’t hear a response from you it will actually call emergency services and get an ambulance. It is going to take care of you. It is going to take care of other cars. It is going to take care of pedestrians.’’

The Tesla Semi can be charged to 400 miles range within just half an hour. With a max gross vehicle weight of 80,000 lbs., the Semi is believed to bring about a massive change in the freight forwarding industry.

Globalia Dubai manages project valued in $3.5 billion

The project consists of the extension of 14km of Dubai Metro and is expected to be completed by January 2020

Cargotrans Global Forwarding, Globalia Dubai, is now working on a red line Dubai metro project, in cooperation with Acciona, Gulermak and Alstom, which is worth a whopping $3.5 billion. The project which is expected to be completed by January 2020 consists of a 14 km extension of the Dubai Metro Red Line which would involve the construction of both subterranean as well as suspended bridges.

The project started last July when Cargotrans Global Forwarding delivered 46 containers from Europe to Jebel Ali, a port town around 35 Km from Dubai. In order to handle this shipment, they had used dry container, flat rack, open top or as break bulk with container dimensions ranging from 40 HC, 20 FR, 40FR, 40 OT or 40 Platform.

Additionally, they employed HL, MAERSK, CGM and CMA carriers depending on the transit time and availability of equipment and offered a lashing and securing service, as they do in most of the cargoes.

“One of our major challenges is the timely delivery of the material, and prevention of any unforeseen delay such as vessel transhipment, booking rolled over and the likes. Last July we had to manage the packing of 55 T of cargoes and had to transport it by air from Italy to Dubai within just 4 days so as to receive the entire cargo within 6 days after the pickup from the supplier” states Alexis Danelian, Cargotrans Global Forwarding manager.

The International Perishables Expo Middle, which will take place from 5th to 7th December 2017 at the Dubai World Trade Centrein, offers a cold chain segment for the first time.

Forwarder Network accepts only top flight operators – SHIPPING GAZETTE

The Conqueror Freight Network has set up the ‘Globalia Logistics Network”, which will be open exclusively to “first class” freight forwarders in each air and seaport location. Applicants for Globalia will undergo a rigorous selection process including external auditing. The one in 10 applicants accepted will enjoy six months’ membership for free, reports London’s Air Cargo News.
