Super Cargo Service Co, Globalia member in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam, successfully arranged for 8 chartered flights from Ho Chi Minh to JFK Airport, USA, for shipping more than 5 million health protection products including protective clothing, masks, and gloves. “The urgent nature of this shipment prompted our team to coordinate at once with 4 airlines- Ethiopia Airlines, Cathay Pacific, Eva Airlines, and Philippines Airlines. I’d request our partners to take a look at the YouTube video we have put together regarding this important and time-critical cargo.” says Mr. Peter Nguyen, the Chief Executive Officer of Super Cargo Service.

This consignment which was a large order from the Government of New York reached its destination within just two weeks. The tact and competence of the Super Cargo team are what allowed them to complete this record-breaking workload in the middle of these difficult circumstances imposed by the pandemic. Mr. Nguyen further states, “This is the first time that 8 large aircraft (Boeing 777-300 ER and Boeing 777- 360 ER) from 4 international airlines simultaneously landed at Tan Son Nhat airport to transport medical equipment from Ho Chi Minh to the US. The international crisis calls for ground-breaking solutions like this. A big shoutout to our team for proficiently undertaking this challenging task within just 2 weeks!”

LAC Worldwide sets an example by moving 45 tons of PPE and testing kits to Brazil

The smooth transport of the temperature-sensitive cargo was made possible by the company’s expertise in cold chain shipping

LAC Worldwide Brazil & USA, Globalia member in Sao Paolo and Itajai, Brazil, and Miami, USA, shipped 45 tons of PPE, rapid testing kits, and PCR Kits to Brazil for the testing of the presence of the virus among the population. Their air cargo department worked relentlessly to ensure the seamless transport of this cargo from Hong Kong and Guangzhou to several cities of Brazil.

“Moving the shipment proved to be a demanding task due to the enormity of the volume as well as reduced flights during the pandemic. Our team’s expertise in handling cold chain shipments was an important factor in the successful handling of the project since we were required to move over 10 tons of PCR kits which are highly perishable with a shelf life of just 4-5 days.” states Mr. Luiz Gustavo Avesani Moura the CEO of LAC Worldwide.

The Miami team of LAC Worldwide helped with several tasks including the adjustment and checking of packages, arrangement of transit documents, temperature control, photographic reports, and customs clearance. Mr. Moura further adds, “I would like to thank our LAC heroes who are working 24/7 to meet the demands of our customers with 100% success. We intend to ship over 30 tons of PPEs and testing kits in the coming month.”

AMA Freight which started as a mid-sized owner-run family business now has over 100 employees

AMA Freight Agency GMBH completed 25 years in business on 1st April 2020. AMA Freight, which is a Globalia member in Hamburg, Germany, and in Tianjin, China, started its operation with just two founder members back in 1994. Since then the company has grown exponentially and presently counts on 40 persons in their headquarters at Hamburg plus 60 colleagues working in China.

GLB Piraeus joins forces with GLB Frankfurt to transport a semi-automatic flatbed die cutter

The members of the two companies perfectly coordinated with each other and moved the shipment on time despite the challenges posed by the lockdown

Feroniki SA International Shipping and Forwarding Logistics Services, Globalia member in Piraeus, Greece, teamed up with Euko Logistics, Globalia member in Frankfurt, Germany, to move a shipment of a semi-automatic die cutter. The cargo was moved from Busan, South Korea, to Sofia, Bulgaria, via Thessaloniki Port with a 40 flat rack container. While Euko Logistics arranged for sea freight from Busan to Thessaloniki Port, Feroniki SA was in charge of custom procedures at the port and delivery to Sofia.

The cargo which weighed 30,000 Kg necessitated the arrangement for special trucks, road permission and escort vehicles for the road transport.

“We were pressed for time while the Labour Day holiday and the COVID-19 lockdown also added to our worries. However, timely coordination on part of both the teams allowed us to hand over the shipment to the consignee right on time! We are very happy to have worked with Euko Logistics are we are looking forward to working with more Globalia partners in the near future.” says Mr. Nikos Liberopoulos, the Sales Manager of Feroniki SA.

Globalia Ho Chi Minh handles a project cargo of steel billets from Vietnam to Philippines

The shipment which consisted of 7,995 pieces had a volume of 5,421.510 MTS

Super Cargo Service, Globalia member in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam, successfully sends out a bulk consignment of steel billets from Lotus Port, Vietnam, to Batangas, Philippines. Globalia Ho Chi Minh moved this 5,421.510 MTS cargo via a Dong BA sea vessel. The freight was loaded with the help of prime mover trucks and shore-cranes.

Ms. Lily Lieu, the Agency Supervisor of Super Cargo Service points out that, “Our team had to work extra-time to load nearly 8,000 pieces of steel billets within just 2 days and the SCS team executed the job quickly and impeccably! Moreover, working in the times of COVID-19 was a serious challenge yet we ensured that the vessel reaches the consignee by 2nd April 2020.” The Super Cargo team was responsible for all aspects of the delivery including stevedoring and chartering while they also acted as the shipping agent. “I would request our partners to check out this video we’ve put together to get an idea about the nature and scope of this project.” adds Ms. Lieu.

Globalia Izmir succeeds in augmenting their Israel market

After an assertive campaign, Enatrans Logistics establishes itself as an experienced freight forwarder for shipments from Izmir to Israel

Enatrans Logistics, a Globalia member in Izmir, Turkey, has profitably strengthened their market in Israel, increasing its shipments to this country. Recently, they have worked on 3 different shipments that were sent out from Turkey to Israel. The first and second shipments – which totalled 100x 20 DC – were sent out from Izmir, and Gebze port respectively.

Globalia Ho Chi Minh is playing their part in the ongoing logistics preparations for the FIFA World Cup 2022!

They were in full charge of shipping 1,045 tons of structural steel for building the FIFA World Cup Stadium in Qatar

Super Cargo Service VN, Globalia member in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam, has successfully shipped a big project shipment of structural steel required for building the FIFA World Cup 2022 Stadium from Vietnam to Qatar. The 12,991 CBM shipment which weighed 1,045 tons were transported in 161 packages from Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam to Hamad, Qatar. According to Ms. Lily Lieu, the Agency Supervisor of Super Cargo Service, “We are delighted to be associated with such an important project! The entire world is looking forward to this grand event which comes just once every four years and we are glad to do our part in the building of the World Cup Stadium! Actually, we have recorded a video that shows the important work of Super Cargo Services and we invite all Globalia members to have a look.”

The Super Cargo team was responsible for a number of services including chartering and stevedoring and thanks to their coordinated efforts the entire shipment was sent out on 23rd March 2020, a time marked by intense confusion because of the COVID-19 pandemic. “The disruption of logistical services and the cancellation of so many flights in our country were indeed pressing issues but our dedicated and proficient team has ensured that nothing comes in the way of getting this important cargo to its destination!” adds Ms. Lieu.
